It’s been a wonderful and crazy past 3 months. I’ve tried often to update, but for some reason have a lock on my computer that has kept me from being able to post anything through this site. Needless to say, it’s been very frustrating not to be able to keep in touch and up to date.

My precious Paisley was born August 16th. She encompasses every wonderful moment I’ve had in life and triples it completely. She is why I’m here, doing what I love best to do.

When I was earning my degree in Apparel Design, my instructors would encourage me to take internships with some of fashions most fantastic designers or to present myself to the design houses in NY and Europe. That would have been great for me, but I didn’t want a life for just me. I wanted a life for me, my husband (then boyfriend), and a family we would one day have. So, I created a niche for myself, doing what I love, and saving a place for any precious children inside my space. So, after almost seven years in business, I am excited and slightly in awe of the fact that Paisley stays with me.

Settled into our new place in Midtown, Hayley Lauren Couture is by appointment only. For this reason, I try to be as flexible as possible to meet every clients needs for fittings and consultations. Appointments are available Monday thru Saturday and at just about any reasonable time.

And even a couple of months after the closing of our division for tuxedos called Vows Tuxedo, we are still getting requests for rental and purchase. Renting, we no longer do. But we are still selling off our inventory for Vows Tuxedo either in bulk (if you’ve every wanted to go into a business that’s fun and rewarding) or separately for individual tuxedo needs. This would be a great investment for your grooms and groomsmen. A full gently-used tuxedo can be purchased for $180.

The Fall season is in full swing and I’m getting to meet so many wonderful new brides as they prepare for their special day in the coming months. I look forward to working with them and meeting my new clients every week. I have a great life!

Another new exciting update is in our Gallery! We now are showcasing some of our recent alteration brides. Aren’t they gorgeous?

Through Hayley Lauren Couture, we custom design bridal and evening wear. We take a design or idea and create it from scratch starting with the patternwork, continuing through the material shell, and finally including the decorations of embroidery and handbeading. With this, we are able to offer our alteration clients with the knowledge of how their gown was originally designed and put together. From there, our alterations are created to mimic the original design but fit your original figure and personality. And alterations for fit isn’t all we do! We also are very capable of changing any design feature of the dress, recreating pieces to better resemble the gown of your dreams. Can you guess in the gallery who’s dress design has been altered?

We’ve been hearing a lot of great things about the photographers from Woodland Fields. I always like to ask my clients about their plans and who they’ve chosen for different aspects of the wedding. One of the photographers I’ve been hearing a lot about lately is Woodland Fields! So, of course, I went to their Facebook page and became a fan. This week, when Gabe and Megan’s wedding picture tease was posted, I was able to see all of their breathtaking images and gratefully have been allowed to add some of the images onto my site as well.

We provided tuxedos for Gabe and his guys. They were a great group of guys that seemed to enjoy every moment leading up to the wedding!
